Free 15 hours during summer holidays?

Hi
Hoping for some advice as info online is conflicting

I have 2 year old twins who attend a preschool which is open term times only.

To manage work during the summer holidays I have managed to get them registered at another preschool which is open during the summer holidays,

Would I be able to use my free 15 hours childcare codes toward this preschool during the summer holidays? Any advice welcomed...

Thanks

I think it's term time only

I believe the 15 free hours is term time only. If you want year round free hours then it's 11 hour free per week all year round.

Or at least that's what I was told by our nursery

The preschool is likely claiming all the funding if they do at least 15 hours a week there. The funding covers 570 hours a year, this is usually taken over 38 weeks at 15 hours a week. Some settings stretch the funding which means you get fewer than 15 hours a week but covers more weeks during the year.

Have you used the codes already with the term time only preschool?

Unless you stretch the funded hours it is term time only.

And you've probably already used the funded hours at the first setting.

Makes sense and I thought this would be the case. Yes current preschool has been using the 15 hour codes for the last couple of months and will do again when they return in September.

I can do the tax free 20% top up so I guess that's something!

Thanks all.
