Changing from 15 to 30 hours after reconfirmation

Not sure if anyone has been in this situation yet...
With the 15 free hours/tax free that I already claim, my daughter will be 3 on the 24th December so she would be eligible for 30 hours in the January term. However, with the dates I currently have for the 3 month reconfirmation, the latest I could reconfirm at the end of the year will be the 22nd December, which is two days before her birthday so she won't qualify at that time.
Does anyone know if they take the child's birthday into account when issuing the hours for the next term? I don't want to miss months of hours just for the sake of two days.

You’ll get the 30 hours code when you reconfirm in December. I got my eldest's in June for the September term. Her birthday isn’t until later in the summer.

Yes the system uses multiple pieces of information including your child's date of birth to work out what funding you get.

In fact as settings we have to enter children in to different sections in our portal according to their ages/funding and the system will flag an error if its wrong.
