30 hours childcare confusion

We are currently claiming for the 15 hours funded for working families. My little boy has just turned 3 so assuming we can now claim 30 hours. Does this automatically update next time his code needs renewing? Or do we have to make a separate application?
Latest nursery invoice has shown now no funding applied at all.

Assuming his birthday was after 1st April, you'll get your 30 hours from September. You continue to reconfirm your eligibility with your current code and it will change over automatically.

Yes as the pp said just renew your code when you're due to and it will entitle you to 30 hours from September.
