Mind if I join you??

Only 1 mindee today, will either go to the park or bake banana muffins - if it rains (looks likely here!)

shoshe · 07/04/2008 07:42

Thought these would do for Mo and MamaG

We are off to the Children's Centre, It opened proper today (we have been in before then all the new building work started).

We still have a thin layer of snow from last night, but its melting fast.

mumlove · 07/04/2008 08:21

morning everyone
Mindees have just arrived so off to de-ice the car and then take 1 mindee and dd to school .

crace · 07/04/2008 08:56

School break for ds but it's biz as usual with my two baby mindees and dd. Broke out the musical instruments and it's all very noisy! Off to join them!

nannynick · 07/04/2008 08:58

I'm wondering what to do today. Have a non-verbal 7 year old, who I expect will want trains... so wondering where to go.

Just reserved a new TV at Argos (my current one blew up last night). Getting an LCD one this time, so I can actually carry it.

dmo · 07/04/2008 09:26

morning all first day of hols sun is shining bright and i only start work at 1pm
wish we had snow

crace · 07/04/2008 10:05

Well that you start so late!

Enjoy the LCD Nick - though I am told the HiDef ones are the only way to go.. or so DH says. I am not convinced yet we need to replace ours however

MaureenMLove · 07/04/2008 10:21

Just thought I'd say, I'm here, kinda lurking! I don't feel I have anything to offer this morning, feel a bit odd actually.

However, I am doing child related things today. I'm getting in the loft to msort out toys!

Oh, and if I don't come in here, who am I going to share my day to day stuff with? So, I got my tickets for my holiday on Saturday! I'll be back later, must make a start.

MaureenMLove · 07/04/2008 11:27

Hi all, no mindees today

DS2's birthday party yesterday, we had a go-kart party at the local leisure centre, 20 children came, was bonkers fun.

He is 6 tomorrow. Aw

One nosebleed, no other injuries lol

vInTaGeVioLeT · 07/04/2008 12:35

unexpected day off - ds was sick last night/this morning and typically has been fine all day it school holi's too so have lost quite a chunk of money oh the joys of self-employment!!
it's a glorious sunny day here so all the freshly washed bedding is on the line!! we never get good snow not that i want it in april!
dp actually has a dr's appointment today - thank god i'm soooo bored of the manFlu

southernbelle77 · 07/04/2008 14:07

Afternoon!!

Gosh, it's chilly!! We all got wrapped up warm and headed out to the park and nature centre this morning which was nice! By lunchtime everyone was tired and cold so we had lunch then headed back. Both mindees now sleeping and dd is watching Fifi nice and quietly!!

Shower is being fixed as we speak so two plumbers are banging and crashing upstairs! (mindess asleep in pushchairs btw - authorised by parents of course.)

Having issues with dd and her botty problems again. Off to docs tomorrow to see what they say as it's getting silly now. She starts school in September and I have no idea if it will be sorted by then. I know it's not her fault but I'm tired and embarrased by it all

Hello!

MML do you qualify for the big girls staffroom now then? Would feel quite odd in here without you!

SBelle - sorry to hear about your dd, my ds has toilet fear and often ends up the same, it does get you down though doesn't it.

Vi - that's a bummer about your pay, have some nice family time while you can.

Boys - a go kart party sounds fab!

Hello everyone else - gonna run and put kettle on while baby sleeping. Have my variation baby and my ds here today, glad it's a calm day after my nightmare weekend. Oh got my last paymnet I was chasing on the sun aft btw!

looneytune · 07/04/2008 16:37

Afternoon all. God, feel like a zombie today after yesterday's madness!

tuplip31, shoshe, mlove - hello

crace - hope you had fun with the musical instruments.

Nick - sorry your tv blew up, how annoying!

dmo - bet that was nice starting late I start late tomorrow but it's just gone from 1.30pm start to 12 o'clock which means I can't take ds to soft play like I said I was (feel bad, I should have just said to stick with the later time but I found myself saying no probs to start earlier - not that she would have minded, I'm an idiot!! grrr)

Mo - must be so strange for you. Great about the tickets, bet you're well looking forward to a lovely holiday

Boys - pleased your party was also a success. Happy birthday to ds for tomorrow.

Vi - sorry about dd, hope she's better soon

SBelle - hope the Dr can sort it out, LMGs went through loads of problems with her dd2 and it was hell for her

Kay - did you give the notice letter to that nasty one?

Right, best start thinking about dinners. Can't wait for the day to end and I can go to bed, I've got another bloomin cold and am so tired from yesterday, I MUST have an early night!!

Bye for now x

looneytune · 07/04/2008 16:42

Anyone able to help on this thread?

crace · 07/04/2008 17:20

Oh my great golly goodness, I am done in folks. I have entered in the backache stage. I have been lucky to get this far, but I honestly think the next 4 weeks are going to be torture.. I really can't wait to call this a day, it's just to hard on the body having little ones jump on your tummy and lifting and buggies and all of that.

Day off tomorrow but unfortunately have errands in Londontown so no rest for the lazy!

SB - what's up with dd? I think we are on the same road.. grrreeeaaatt

Bedtime, bed time bedtime! Only 3 more hours to go until bedtime hooray!

MaureenMLove · 07/04/2008 18:28

Evenin' all. I suppose I should be in the big girl staff room, but I'm actually without a job at all for the next two weeks, so I'm in limbo and where I know best, for now of that's ok!

I have to withdraw my offer of Disney films if any of you were interested. Got told off by DH because they are his! I've spent about 4 hours trying to put them in buddles on E-bay, after I found another dozen in the loft!

dmo · 07/04/2008 20:23

i would have yes too looney think were just soft
got little boy tomo normally have him 7.20am until 1.30pm but parents asked if he could stay till 4pm this week as dad is on jury service
going to Sams scraps tomo (will let you know how it goes) its a warehouse full of card, gitter, paint, material, glue etc etc and you fill a trolly for £13

chickenmama · 07/04/2008 20:46

Just wanted to pop in and say hi I really ought to join u all in the staffroom. I've posted some questions on the main CM bit if anyone can help.

dmo - love the sound of Sams scraps, is it something thats just local to you or throughout the UK? I need to stock up on arts & crafts stuff and a trolly for £13 sounds fab!

vInTaGeVioLeT · 07/04/2008 20:49

well ds was fine all day in fact full of beans and we had a lovely day. . . .

so i texted mindee's mum to say i was ok for tomorrow . . . . you can guess what happened next . . . . yes he was violently sick all over the stairs

have now warned wednesdays mindee's parents they might need to sort out alternative childcare

southernbelle77 · 07/04/2008 21:21

Crace - we're still having problems with constipation. I am in a total state of confusion now though! We seemed to have things sorted pretty much but then dd got ill and was on antibiotics which gave her a very runny bum! Ever since then we can not seem to get back on track. She is either in pain when trying to go, or its too runny (sorry TMI!) and she just goes in her pants.
What the hell am I meant to do???? She starts school in Sept, it really needs to be sorted then!
Hoping maybe the doctor can give me some more advice tomorrow. Not sure if it all medical or behavioural as well but figure it's worth finding out now and taking it from there.
We have been through 5 pairs of pants today and I'm finding it all very hard
