30 hours funding sickness/holiday

Can someone help me understand the 30 hours free childcare (for 3 and 4 year olds)

I remember reading somewhere that if your child is absent for any reason a certain number of days in a "term" that you can lose the funding. However I can't find any reference to this online. Did I dream it?

We use the 30 hours over the full year as our nursery operates all year round. So that's 2 days a week (21 hours).

We have family who live very far away so it's not worth travelling for just a weekend. We want to visit for longer but worried about losing the funding.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Your setting will be able to tell you the amount of absence allowed by your LA it's not a national set amount. In mine it's if off more than 3 weeks
