No more will I be responsible for every bump & lump that appears in my care. No longer will I have to feed children in my house good wholesome meals. No longer will I appear at a school gate with marmite on my jeans or sick on my shoulder and BEST of all, I don't have to keep my booze under lock and key! Talking of which! Cheers!

You are now officially shut Maureen. Your home is now, your's... you don't need to keep it tidy!
Hope the new job goes well.

MaureenMLove · 04/04/2008 18:28

That's the thing Nick. It WILL be tidy! Thankyou!

I have a job as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school, starting on 21st April. I've got 2 weeks off, with the second week really off. DD is away with her school! What will I do with myself!

I've bought about 6 pairs of shoes and 2 handbags. Upteen lovely worky clothes and I will be burning my cm school run coat very soon!

Sounds ideal. You'll get a fair bit more leave each year. Good luck with it.

shoshe · 04/04/2008 18:41

Please make sure you return the staff room keys on your way out, and clear out your locker.

[Mamag gets in through the toilet window, by the way ]

Good luck amd love sweetie, have a great time in the Real World.

MaureenMLove · 04/04/2008 18:43

Well, I was rather hoping my experience and well, fantastic sense of humour would still be welcome after school. I will be finished and home by 3.15, before you all get back from school! I thought I could make the tea for you and mop your brows?

crace · 04/04/2008 18:44

Ah well done Mo, many congrats - we'll all raise an honorary glass to you. You do get a guest pass to the staff rooms of course. Or you may have to fight MamaG for it.. either way.

Good luck with all x

shoshe · 04/04/2008 18:44

OK as long as you by the bakers on the way homeand get fresh cakes

crace · 04/04/2008 18:45

But of course Mo!

crace · 04/04/2008 18:45

Think of it as Hotel California

shoshe · 04/04/2008 18:47

Just thought it will have to be the toilet window for Mo, only one guest pass, and MamaG will have to have it, she wont fit through the window soon

or should we issue a honoury one to Mo for services above the call of duty for the last 12 yeasr

BoysAreLikeDogs · 04/04/2008 18:50

Mo you can mop my brow anytime !

MaureenMLove · 04/04/2008 20:18

My apologies for running out on my thread! DD disappeared of the face of the earth, it seemed! I could reach her for nearly an hour and I was getting rather bothered! The lat thing she said to me at 2pm, was that she was going to the park with her mate, but she wasn't sure if they'd stop there because a girl in their class was going down there to get drunk! In the end, they decided they didn't want to get anywhere near her and stayed in! Too much noise in the house to hear her phone! I didn't know that though, did I?

Anyway, thankyou for your wishes. I've got a glass of red now, so I'll be asleep in about an hour!

Mo............"goodbye, farewell aufwedersein adure(LOL my spelling top notch as usual!)..to yur and yur and yur and yur and yur..de de de de de de de de deeeee"

Are youe xcited?, did you cry today??????

MaureenMLove · 04/04/2008 20:34

One would hope that its MamaG that can't get through the window, due to her current predicament! If I can't get through, then I need to assess my eating habits!

No, no tears! We had them on Tuesday when plaster baby left! Then I nipped round there to see her on Wednesday! I'll still see most of them tbh and the ones I won't see are because they were just clients not friends. Most of the dads are friends with DH now and they often have a drink together and I've just put myself on one mums Facebook.
