Do I still get my 15 hours on mat leave?

My child will qualify for 15 free hours from September, currently working a 16 hour contract at work which makes me entitled to the hours from September.

I'm going on maternity leave in October/November time. I will only be receiving maternity allowance and will take 1 year maternity leave.

Will my 2 year old still be entitled to the 15 hours even if I'm on maternity leave? Thank you!

Just place marking as I'm going on mat leave at the end of this month and I want to know now!

Yes, you can usually still get the funding. Have a look here www.childcarechoices.gov.uk

Thank you! Just had a look but I'm so confused, I currently early just over the £183 a week but with maternity allowance I'll be bringing in around £164 😭 i feel like this makes me ineligible, so stressed surely that's not fair!

Look in the Parents FAQ linked to from the ChildcareChoices site.
Search the document for "Can I apply for a code whilst I am on maternity, paternity or adoption leave?"
Should be able to apply as normal for your 2 year old.

For the older one yes, for the baby not until you're within one month of returning to work (so by September 30th for a September start).

Hope you don't mind me asking, did you ever get to the bottom of this? I'm going on maternity leave in October and my little girl is due to start nursery in September. When my maternity pay starts I will be earning around £20 less a week than the £184 as specified on the website. It's so confusing isn't it 😵‍💫

Thanks x

Yes as it’s worked out on your non maternity leave pay.- not what you get while on maternity pay or allowance

Hello.
can anyone help?
I thought I was due back to work 30th sept but it's 30th oct and I have applied for the funded hours already and got my code. I am on maternity until 30 th oct does this mean I am not entitled?
TIA
