Can anyone recommend any decent nurseries?

Or any to avoid? What are the waiting lists like?

Thanks ☺️

For what age? And term time only or full time?

SuperDuperJezebel · 27/04/2024 17:27

Heard good things about Balham Rainbow

WineLover21 · 29/04/2024 11:54

My neighbours daughter goes to Lucky Beans Childcare. They have a nursery in Balham at 24 Ritherdon Rd - really gorgeous nursery. They are boutique so you receive pictures of your child each day and they engage in lessons like ballet, tennis, music, etc.

Sorry probably not much help then as DS is at a school nursery. Used to go to The Kindergartens Mouse House which is more between the commons and also term time only. The Kindergartens do have another location in tooting, Crescent 2, which is full time and could potentially work depending on where you’re living but no personal experience of it. Everywhere else I know of is TTO! I mean I’ve seen Balham Rainbow and others but don’t anyone that’s used it. So many young kids in Balham though, you’ll find somewhere good!

There’s a brilliant one on Malwood Road at Clapham South. Don’t know how easy it is to get into, but all the kids LOVE it. Run by very nice team too, next to a cafe which is handy.

Marmalade Owl?? I know people at the Marmalade Cat on the other side of the common who love it and there’s also Marmalade Caterpillar in Balham. Unless it’s changed since we were looking though it’s term time only and most of the kids seem to go part time. So possibly not what OP is looking for…

Yes! The very same.

My son went to Talia's teddies in clapham south and loved it. The team are fantastic and it is a small nursery so a really nurturing environment. You get to know all of the parents and staff. We were so sad to go as we moved overseas. Definitely check them out!
