Morning!

Just waiting for mindees to arrive.

So baby mindee who I always wait for not knowing if he is coming or not - haven't heard from his mum for ten days! I am getting worried and don't know whether to call baby's nanna, what would you do??

hi Kay i'd call mum, nan and find out where you stand tbh let us know how you get on.

I'm not sure what to do today only got my dd's (2 and 8) and baby mindee today, haven't planned anything yet and dd1 is still in bed (goes back to school on thursday so don't want to wake her when i don't have to this will be her last lie in!

What are you all doing today?

KaySamuels · 31/03/2008 08:15

I have ss mindee, and should have ft AWOL mindee both booked in for full day.

Looks nice here so we will be off to the park. Will ring round too and try and catch mum or nana, have left messages and no reply which makes me worried...

I spoke to variation baby's mum at the weekend, she has assured me she still wants me and is waiting for her tax credits to get sorted so that is a relief.

Good news kay, fingers crossed ft mindee turns up or they at least have the decency to call you!

It looks grey out here (typical - my own fault for putting a skirt on in hope!) I might take them to soft play as it's warm and all ages will enjoy it.

MaureenMLove · 31/03/2008 08:24

Morning girls. I'd definately phone someone Kay, have you already been paid for the hours or are you waiting for that too.

Well, its the final push for me this week. Baby mindees finish this week. One tomorrow and one on Friday. 3 schoolies finish on Friday and one I have next Thursday and Friday - then that really is it!

Went to a party of one of my 2 year olds yesterday. Her nan kept telling me she was gutted I was giving up and her dad kept giving my shoulder a knowig squeeze everything he walked passed me!

MaureenMLove · 31/03/2008 08:29

Why do some people just not either get the message or are plain ignorant about things? I've just watched my neighbour pull away with her 2 year old in the front of a car, which I know as an airbag in it and he's sitting on a booster seat!

I told her only a couple of weeks ago, that it was illegal and she said, 'oh is it, I do it all the time.' Well, my conscience is clear when I'm minding him. You can lead a horse to water and all that!. It just makes me so cross!

LoveMyGirls · 31/03/2008 08:40

FGS! some people!

chickenmama · 31/03/2008 08:45

Hi thought I'd be cheeky and ask if anyone has their own short term contract they could email me... I'm new to all this and didn't realise I'd need one for the brother of a child I mind as he will be with me just for half term. Mum will be dropping them off shortly!!

looneytune · 31/03/2008 10:04

crace · 31/03/2008 10:10

Morning girls and boys!

Mo, wtf?? You can't do much more than you are, but unbelievable!

Kay, wow! Have they paid you all this time too? What's going on with them?

CM - I don't have a short term one I am afraid. LT?

Why oh why do the powers that be have to change clocks. I have 3 very crabby toddlers today. And dd is constipated AGAIN. I give up. One of those days.. off to fortify self with coffee

crace · 31/03/2008 11:07

Hallelujah! Dd has done a poo. Yes, I am announcing this why? BECAUSE after 15 minutes of screaming she's been and is now her usual lovely self. Phew.

MaureenMLove · 31/03/2008 11:23

Funny you should say that, because Kbear said the same about her ds yesterday. He was really arguementative, then he did a poo and he was lovely again!

KaySamuels · 31/03/2008 12:55

We went to the park it was lovely. Variation mum and baby came along too.

Got in touch with awol mindees nana, mum was off last week (why I couldn't have been sent a text to tell me I don't know), nana off today and is getting mindee's mum to ring me later. Yes I got paid by standing order for this mindee crace and he and mum are lovely. Think we need a chat about communiction tho!

CM sorry I have never done a short term contract, hope you get sorted.

DS always very content after a no2 too kids eh?!

Crace, I've been having the same problem with dd2 but she now seems to be getting on the mend, if you want a hand to hold until she gets through it i'm here for you. Dd2 has been on movicol and lactulose since Nov and will now only pooh in a nappy (but that's better than holding it in for 8 days at a time!) We're now down to about 5ml of lactulose per day, not really sure how we're goignt o get her to pooh in the toilet we've tried presents/ stickers/ sweets etc I guess she'll do it when she's ready at least on the bright side she's not in pain, she's not leaking, she's going about once a day and is back to her normal self!

dmo · 31/03/2008 13:22

i have a mindee like that holds in in for 8+ days and is in lots of pain

its my wedding anv todayy 8yrs so dh taking me oout to dinner tonight he also phone me at 12pm (the same time we took our vows) to remamise

LoveMyGirls · 31/03/2008 13:34

Ohhh thats so sweet dmo!

crace · 31/03/2008 13:38

LMG - oh lordy - what a nightmare for you. It seems a very girl thing doesn't it to hold it for so long. We are getting to the point where it's just 2-3 days and no intervention but forget potty training. She's only 27 months but forget it, she won't wee in the potty now because she is afraid of not having a nappy on - and worsens the poo issue. I don't care if she is in nappies until she is a teenager - I can't be doing with this screaming, and it would be worse if I forced the potty issue. You have my sympathy

Happy Anniversary dmo! He's lovely your DH!

MaureenMLove · 31/03/2008 13:40

Happy anniversary DMO! Have a lovely evening.

MaureenMLove · 31/03/2008 13:50

Why didn't I take note about The Night Garden months ago? DH came home for lunch and as usual mindee wants to be with him. He switched the TV on and started flicking channels, sadly for him The Night Garden is on! Mindee now completely transfixed, on DH's lap! I've never watched it before!

crace · 31/03/2008 13:58

It's mad that programme isn't it? Dd liked it to start with but isn't so bothered now, thank goodness. It's definitely a fav with the littles though, isn't it?

BoysAreLikeDogs · 31/03/2008 13:59
