What do you mean? How could they lose it?! Surely that is unacceptable? Can you take it to higher channels?

Well a Hampshire college took over the running and organisation of the DHC courses. They say they gave all the details of all candidates to CACHE (whoever the hell they are) for processing so that we could all be allocated a candidate number. However CACHE or the college, not sure which, have lost mine and another woman's details, so the exam i thought I was sitting next week after the final DHC course isn't happening.
The NCMA woman told me today. She said "oh but it's ok becasue you can still go ahead and register with OFSTED"
My tutor told me last night that it was a waste of time me being on the course and she was getting annoyed becasue I was answering all the questions (which i would do, i know all the answers) this jsut proves it, it has been a bloody waste of time.

You can actually go ahead and register with Ofsted without taking the test - not that matters, cheeky buggers!

Get that application form sent, and sod them!

nannynick · 26/03/2008 15:17

unbelievable... you could try complaining to CACHE, can't see why they can't add a candidate prior to the test date.

Jesus christ Saltire! This is getting absolutely ridiculous! I am so for you! Have we, between us, thought of and exhausted every avenue? I cannot believe that something that could be so simple, has been made so difficult. This has been going on for over 6 months hasn't it? A new CM could be registered quicker than this!

saltire · 26/03/2008 18:30

You are right Maureen. Or a childminder who had moved within England
Some days I ask myself is it worth it. really. Then i go to my boring job - which admittedly means my house is tidier, and I am meeting epople. But I miss it I miss the children

OMG Saltire

Blimming eck

shoshe · 26/03/2008 18:38

Oh Saltire what a complete waste of time.

One of the reasons I am retiring before the move to Scotland as have been told its not much better the other way around.

Thirty years of childcaring and I would have to do the courses!
