My CM group was given a huge grant and we want to get special needs and multi cultural toys and equipment.

Would be good to be able to get catalogues to show the other cm's befor we buy stuff.

Anyone know any good websites to look at?

Thanks

How about Special Needs Toys formally Toys for the Handicapped.

East West Education - multicultural dolls, dolls clothes, Puppets and children's Dressing Up clothes.

Hope Education

Tamarind Books

Equal Opp Shop - they have a Small Childcare Starter Kit which includes a selection of things, including an Ethnic doll and a Disability Inclusion Jigsaw.

Just a thought, if the grant is to help all childminders in the group, then you could invest in several Starter Kits for use on a loan basis, plus buy Starter Kits in bulk (thus you may get a discount) to resell to group members at a significant discount. Could be worth contacting The Equal Opportunities Shop, telling them what grant you have got and asking them for suggestions - If the grant is big I'm sure any retailer, especially a small one, would be willing to do a deal. They also provide training, so if your grant permits that usage, you could perhaps get them to provide a training workshop for your group.
