15 hours for two year olds - question about salary eligibility

I'm so embarrassed to ask this! Are we eligible for the new 15 hours government scheme for 2 year olds in nursery as higher rate payers? My partner's income before tax is exactly £100k. But he puts so much into a pension via PAYE that his payslips go under £100k. Does this mean he's eligible or not? I find the wording so inconsistent so hoping someone can message back. thanks

Eligible i think.

yes if salary gets below 100k with salary sacrifice then yes you are eligible

Thank you! We've heard so many different things from other parents at the nursery gates. Goes to show the wording across sites is ambiguous.
