Last day to go for me, will be pulling together the kids easter baskets today.

Today is also the BIG DAY for me - we see the consultant at 3pm, and I am nervous as hell

Up and about early this morning Crace! Good luck with the consultant later

Sounds like my day too! Getting all the bits finished for the last mindees easter basket. Going to take dd and mindee to drop in this morning so we get out the house too.

So looking forward to the long weekend! DH has been away all week so it will be nice to have an extra long weekend for us all.

eleanorsmum · 20/03/2008 07:32

morning!

sb - enjoy your weekend! have got plans for my dh to do the garden ie me and dd going out for the day so he can dig in peace! only friday though we'll be here for rest of time!

crace - hope this afternoon goes ok! do you have to take many with you?

I saw the midwife yesterday - she's not sure either! listened for heartbeat but she said unusal even at 12 weeks more like 14 and wasn't sure she could or couldn't hear! and she felt my tummy - again not really sure (too much fat in the way methinks ) so they are sending me for a dating scan next weds at 11.15! am pleased and she was so lovely unlike my dr. she also said my dr was disorganised and didn't have a good bedside manner! so it wasn't just me then! feel better knowing i'm having a scan btu still no furhter on at the moment!

KaySamuels · 20/03/2008 07:33

Last day for me too.

This week has flown by!

Good luck with your appointment crace.

Hi SBelle.

MaureenMLove · 20/03/2008 07:40

Good morning. I seem to have been up hours already. Just schoolies today and they won't be here for another half an hour or so. I'm sitting surrounded by furniture! Its piled high, in my little retreat! The concrete floor in the extension is being laid tomorrow, so it all had to come out. I've got to stay in all day too, because all the equipment and materials are being delivered. Oh um, I'll have to tstay here then!

Anyone seen Boysarelikebunnies yet? Send her my way, uf you do!

MaureenMLove · 20/03/2008 08:20

Phew! I just had the most mental 20mins! The sand and cement truck decided to arrive. Its not a wide road, I live in, so he's parked diagonally across the road, so that he can offload all the gear. As he starts offloading, the compost dusttruck comes one way down the street and the paper re-cycling truck comes the other! Intermingle this with a couple of mindees and parents who can't get anywhere near my house and you get the drift!

mumlove · 20/03/2008 08:25

Morning everyone.

Mindee has arrived so now going to take DD to school then caome home and wait for mindee 2 to arrive before going to toddler group.

crace - good luck for this afternoon, we are all right behind you.

sb - I will be glad when all the chocolate for easter has gone it's so tempting to eat it all.

em - can you DH come to help mine!!

kay - enjoy your weekend.

mo - think of all the lovely clean space you will end up with once all finished and no little ones.

crace · 20/03/2008 08:47

Thanks guys, am really freaking out about it. Had an unintentional row with DH about it. He may not be able to come and I said (really, truly innocently) that I can play the unsupported spouse card. Not that I AM unsupported. Well mix stressed DH with work issues, guilt over leaving after birth, and stressed DH to come to appointment we had overspill. Bless him, he does try hard and despite me saying over and over and over (and over) that he doesn't need to feel bad - he does. But of course I am the bad guy who doesn't understand his work, blah blah blah. Men.

EM -so she really has no idea how far along you are, did she hedge a guess?

Hey SB! Enjoy your day

Hi Kay!

Mo - I bet you were big on your street Lovely!

Hey ML!

Forgot to say I still haven't heard about my variation, am going to hassle them for an answer today or will have a four day wait! So need you all to keep your fingers crossed for me.

crace · 20/03/2008 09:03

Fingers crossed Kay!

AAARRGGHH!!!

mumlove · 20/03/2008 09:08

what's up Kay?

KaySamuels · 20/03/2008 09:10

I honestly don't know what to do with DS at the moment. He is is screaming/shreiking/crying every time a littly goes near him/a toy of his/passes him a ball.

He has never been like this before and it is really trying me!!

Have decided if I get this variation will keep at it, if I don't I am quitting.

KaySamuels · 20/03/2008 09:11

oops don't know what happened there

mumlove · 20/03/2008 09:30

It's our own children that are always hard work, my DD always plays me up when a certain mindee is here, but she is old enough to go and play in her bedroom or sit in my room and watch tv. Luckily that mindee is only here for the 1st week of the easter hols and I am hoping the weather will be nice on the 2 days mindee is here so we can go out, otherwise I see big problems if it rains and we are stuck indoors the whole day.

MaureenMLove · 20/03/2008 09:38

Aw Crace, bummer! They really have no idea do they? We can't be there, but we'll be waiting for you when you come back.

You know what, if it wasn't for the bloody cement mixer that I've got to wait in for, I could have come! You're only about half an hour away and I could have gone to the Outlet centre on the way back!

crace · 20/03/2008 10:30

Thanks Mo I know it will be fine, it's not the visit that has me wound up, it's lots of things. I am terrified of having another c/s, have feelings of my family being complete and still warming to the idea of having another child (DH was desperate for another) - which I know will be fine when I have lovely child in arms but for the moment I feel "detached". It's lots of things really - and I am pinning some hope on the date being moved making me feel better about it all

I will admit it, am neurotic

looneytune · 20/03/2008 10:39

Morning all

Crace - best of luck hun, really hope they let you move the date!!! Let us know how you get on!

Was going to post to each of you but the girls have just woken up from their naps so need to get them up.

Have a good day.

MaureenMLove · 20/03/2008 10:46

I was never attached to my bump. It was a complete inconvenience tbh. Hated being pg, it was always an 'it' and never referred to as a baby. I'd have been much happier if it had arrived in a taxi! It's just all the unknown things, isn't it? Once you've got this afternoon over and done with, you can start arranging things properly and try to enjoy the rest. (Though quite how anybody can enjoy being pg, is completely beyond me!)

crace · 20/03/2008 13:27

Sigh.... 1.5 hrs to go - ACK!!! We leave here in an hour..

Mo, I HATE being pregnant, truly. It just doesn't agree with me. I get fat too humph

Hi LT!

Still not heard back about variation! {Drums fingers}...

Should have someone ringing me back this aft keep those fingers crossed girls!

I did not enjoy being pg either mo, I had HG (extreme sickness) right through!

MaureenMLove · 20/03/2008 13:54

God, remind me not to watch a special 2 hr Extreme Makeover home edition when I've got PMT! I'm a mess!

Ring them if you don't hear by 4pm, Kay.

I was lucky enough to only be officialy pg for 5 months! I was 4 months before I knew (no obvious signs iykwim!)and she was 3 weeks early!

ROSEgarden · 20/03/2008 14:00
