Hi mum's,

I'll be sending my little one (2 years old) into nursery come March. We now have a childcare account set up. Which shows he is signed up to the tax free childcare and the new free 15 hr scheme (from april)

Everything looks fine, the nursery has confirmed his start date. But when I login I can't find a section stating "Paying Money In" ?

As I'd like to pay some as a test payment, to see if it all works before March comes... I have read that I'll need a "Unique Childcare Account No." when deposting money in. But I can't locate this or find a section within my account showing where the funds go?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

There's a 'manage your childcare account' option. Click on that and you should be able to see a button for paying in. It will give you the details for a bank transfer.

Are you back to work yet? You can only start within 30 days of returning to work.

LittleZzz · 07/01/2024 09:56

I have been back to work for over a year now :)

I can't find that part in my account but I have messages with payment details on as part of the tax free childcare application...

Thanks in advance:)

Is there a letter in SECURE messages confirming its set up?

I think you're too early to pay in for march

cutlery · 07/01/2024 10:02

And it looks like your code should be in the top section if it's active.

LittleZzz · 07/01/2024 10:31

Yes we have the application saying we are eligible. But nothing in the main account page to allow us to progress?

Maybe I'm too early? As the nursery has only just been confirmed?

It shouldn't matter when they are starting nursery, you should be able to pay money in almost straight away. It could be that the account takes a couple of days to register and show up.

So when you have the tax free account you should have this link on your first screen.

Click on that, then on this link 'manage account'

Then you need to select 'pay money in'

And you will get this page which will give you your unique details, obviously I cropped mine off the bottom here.

You can then also set up a payment to your specific nursery as well.

Brilliant pictures that makes sense. Bjt mine doesn't display the same as yours unfortunately:-

I'll guess I'll have to call them unless it takes a few days to show. Hmmmm

Can I ask how you got this sorted? I'm in the same position.
