My 11 year old son and 4 year old daughter are currently in receipt of DLA. I am in the process of changing my surname and, therefore their surnames as well (via enrolled deed poll with ex partner's consent). I am aware I need to inform DWP but my question is, do I do it now, or first when it has been processed by the courts (which currently are taking 20+ weeks to process)? Also, will their payments continue whilst this change is processed?
