  1. Is the care commission the first people you contact?
  2. Do you require planning permission for your house from the council?

  1. Yes I phoned them and they sent out forms to register as a childminder.
  2. I didnt need planning permission but I dont know if it makes a difference where you stay or of you own/rent. If you rent you might need permission from council to childmind I dont know for sure.

If my memory is correct then the Care Commission could ask for proof that your landlord agree to you working from home
