Tax free / 30 hrs help

Hello.
I have a little boy due to turn 3 in March next year. We currently get tax free childcare for him.
he’s starting a new nursery in April and will be using his 30 hrs. However we haven’t had a code through yet.
im due to reconfirm eligibility end of January, will the code appear then? Also when I reconfirm I’ll be on maternity leave for my second (due end of Jan). When I reconfirm will there be an option to tick to say I’m on maternity? Will I still get access to the 30 hrs and tax free if I tick this?

last question, baby number 2 will be starting nursery early October next year, when can I apply for tax free childcare for them?

Possibly too early, you have loads of time for the code, the deadline for that term is 31st March.

You can apply for baby 2 tfc 30 days before you return to work.

also when applying for baby 2 I will be applying while still on maternity leave (but returning within 31 days of application) on the application do I still say I’m on maternity ? Will it give me the option to say I’m returning within the 31 days?

Yes. You can apply whilst on maternity leave, but only when you are due to return within 31 days. There is an option to say this on the application.

I've no idea why because they can't do anything with the code yet!
