Dear childminder, could you please tell me long it takes to appear in the childcarelink website ?

Mine appeared about 1 week later. Did you tick the box and sign to say you give permission for it to go up on line. Give it a couple of days and if it doesn't appear I would ring them and ask if they have received your form .

It feels like your always waiting for something doesn't it? when your trying to get set up.

If it is of any help, this is how I think the system works (though could be wrong).

Ofsted tell local CIS that you are a registered childminder, via the Ofsted Update which is done every two weeks.
Once your local CIS have you on the system, they can then update your record and select the option to publish it on ChildcareLink/Direct.Gov
How long it then takes is anyone's guess. I would expect your local authority to upload new/revised data nightly, but I suppose it could take several days.

Best to keep contacting your local CIS to keep enquiring when your details is going to be published on ChildcareLink. Your local CIS can then contact the ChildcareLink administrators if there is a problem with the computer system.
