CM Club: Where can I get a toddler height table from?

I bought a sand and water table last week and it has been in the living room with playdough, crayons etc on it for the littlies. It will be going in the garden when I get round to getting some sand but the kids have liked having a little table to play at so thought I would get one.

Has anyone seen them anywhere (at a reasonable price)?

If you wait a little bit longer, the shops will be awash with those plastic garden tables. If not, you could ask at your local playgroups or church run groups. See if they are having a clear out and would nonate one your way.

I needed a train table for DS at Christmas so I bought a cheap kithen table from IKEA and sawed the legs off. Was easy peasy. And only cost about £20.

Ah Ikea is a good idea, any excuse for a visit!

MML - you have just reminded me our scrapstore sometimes gets tables too so will give them a ring too. Wilkinsons gets those garden tables in will see what they have in.

I'm going to natter dp to go to ikea now!

In the ikea kids section they have great little tables and chairs in funky colours and with stools or proper chairs. I am sitting on one such stool right now!!

clumsymum · 11/03/2008 11:56

We had one from Ikea. check out their childrens range, or look at side tables, which tend to be small.

FeelingOld · 11/03/2008 11:56

Definitely Ikea. I got my little wooden table with 2 chairs years ago and its still going strong and the chairs even take my weight and I am a larger lady

KaySamuels · 11/03/2008 12:01

We have a home bargains so will keep my eye out in there. We get loads of cm'ing buys in there!

Ikea is a fair drive away for us and we are always looking for an excuse to go so I think all these ikea replies are a sign.

ROSEgarden · 11/03/2008 12:04

Flibbertyjibbet · 11/03/2008 12:06

My mum gets their breakfast-in-bed tray down when my two come over.
It was about £3.99, plastic with metal legs about 10' high and its great for them to sit on the floor to do colouring etc.
And we love it because it has a dint to keep the painting water cup in and a ridge round the edge to keep all the mess in!
(and it folds away when not in use, bliss!)
