Question about when a child counts as a 5 year old, in terms of ratios

I'm sure one of the childminders can answer this for me .

My son will be 5 in November and will be starting school full time in September. When will he count as a 5 year old, in terms of the number of children a childminder can look after, in the different age groups?

Thank you .

He is counted as 5 from the day he attends school 10 sessions for the week

So if he has 2 weeks half day then he counts from the following monday, if he starts F/T school on a wednesday he starts from that day

Hope that made sense

Thank you .

He's at the same school part time (mornings only) at the moment so will be going full time as soon as the term starts in September.

I am trying to re-organise childcare and was hoping he would be counted as a 5 year old from September .
