How long it takes,
What they expect,

You need to go on a pre-registration meeting. Contact your CIS www.childcarelink.gov.uk. They'll be able to give you the up to date info you need and details about what funding might be available to help you get started.

Sorry, no idea how long it takes now, I registered 7 years ago and it took about 6 months.
