How to give iron syrup

Hi all

It's very hard to give iron syrup to my son 2 years old (Well being) one. It's smell is soo strong n bad I try to give him in milk , water , orange juice but he didn't take it...

He has very low iron I am try very hard please any suggestions???

if his comprehension is good enough to understand bribery, I’d say that he can have a treat after the iron tablets. (A pack of buttons or similar).

I’d be worrying though why he is anaemic, what is missing in his diet? Sometimes anaemia can be a sign of another issue like coeliac disease.

other things can increase absorption of iron, like orange juice.

I don’t know if iron syrup is more unpleasant but we give vitamin syrup mixed into porridge.
