Gift for carers when toddler moves up a class?

What type of gift/gesture is common here when a child leaves nursery? My son is about to turn 2 and leave the baby area of his nursery to start in their toddler room which is in a separate building. I know I should do something for the staff but have absolutely no ideas!

I took in some chocolates for the team and I spoke to the manager and asked if there were any supplies the classes needed, I ended up doing a big bag with glue sticks, craft bits, chalks etc. They were really appreciative to have useful bits for the children
