Government free hours

Does anyone have an idea whether the government free hours that were proposed earlier this year will be coming into play for 2 year olds next year still? I haven't heard anything for a few months so wondered if we can still expect it. Thanks

No official announcements about it but my money is on it being delayed (indefinitely and certainly until the Tories lose the next GE…)

This outlines what is meant to happen.

We had a email sent out to settings asking us to confirm how many funded places we could offer if/when it comes in.

Everyone has refused to answer until they tell us how much they will be paying.

I certainly won't if it's insulting.

And I think that will be half the battle, finding a funded (not free) place in the first place.
