CMCLUB: Just Wondering... Has anyone filled a space, by listing a vacancy on Mumsnet?

I was wondering what success you get from having details of your vacancies on Mumsnet. Lots of us seem to list our vacancies, but I do wonder how many of us have actually filled a vacancy via this method? Have you had any new clients who came to you via mumsnet?

I haven't filled a vacancy, but have had response from putting my details on here. Only one however, and it wasn't suitable for me!

No, none at all but I am in a small village so not surprised. I have had all mine come from the childcarelink

I filled a vacancy from here in the early days of me starting....It was very part time but a lovely baby and really nice parents! They moved away from the area months later so he left but stil hear from them! x

Not filled but had someone contact me almost as soon as I'd put the advert up but they decided to not go back to work. This was when I very first started.

So, well done to kkey21 on filling a place (even if it were very part-time and not for very long).
To me there seem to be quite a number of childminder ads on Mumsnet, but I am wondering how likely it is that anyone will fill a vacancy.
Anyone else filled a vacancy via Mumsnet?
Is local advertising better?

I'd say majority of my none word of mouth enquiries come from childcarelink and most tend to have seen my website before coming (a lot of the ones who contact me, also tend to contact others with a website first if they like what they've seen). Think only had 2, maybe 3 in total from Mumsnet.

Hate to say it but also had quite a few enquiries from the netmums childcare board.

Have to say, I've had enquires from there as well, but not from here.

i've never advertised on here - i like to be annomynus[sp]!!!! i hate it if anyone i knew stalked me on here i do have one friend who uses mumsnet but i doubt we'd ever be using the same boards

I have had queries and filled vacancies from netmums too! I would never dream to chat on there though, it just isn't the same as here
