i am just looking for a child minder for when i go back to work when ds is six months.

so far all the childminders i have contacted want to charge me for all of my holidays. is this normal considering i am a teacher?

is it possible to get one for term time only and then pay extra for when i need it?

I think an idiot's guide for nbs like myself using a cm would be excellent, certainly I'd be grateful to any cm who'd gone to the trouble, esp as discussing the financial ins and outs might be a bit awkward.

I do term-time only contracts, holiday-only contracts, and offer ad hoc care. It suits me to work this way, and do not have a problem filling my spaces (been minding since the Ark was built, so usually get work via word-of-mouth). We all work so differently.
