...is that possible? Ideally I'd like my son to go to nursery 1.5 days a week and childminder 2 days a week. Can I split the funded hours to both?

Yes you can split it between providers. Nursery provided me with a local authority form which I had to fill in with how many hours I was claiming at each setting. Work out your split carefully, if there are additional costs (likely) it might work out cheaper to claim them with one over the other. Eg I used 18 hours with private nursery and 4.5 hours with pre-school as it was cheaper to pay for the extra hours at pre-school’s rates rather than nursery’s!

Just to add you should be filling in a parent declaration for each setting.

It’s possible but do check with each setting. I’m a childminder and there are 2 preschools in my area that refuse to share funding.
