Fantastic experience! Our very first "au pair" from when DS2 was just born revisiting!

This is amazing to watch. He was not shy at all, he took one look at her, started talking immediately about all sorts he has experienced, then started climbing on her, and kissing her, and this morning wanted nothing more than to just lay and cuddle in her lap, just as he used to do when he was just a few months old.

Basically, this young woman is a friend of my husbands family, she came to us for holiday job (university student in Poland) from July to October, when DS2 was just a month old, so stayed till he was just 4 months old. She then came back when she had winter break when he was 6 months old, and stayed for 2 weeks. Since then she has not been back, as we have had other au pairs since and she has been doing summer au pair jobs in other locations, and has now finnished her studies. She is back to visit for one week, I have stayed in touch with her, sent her photos of the kids etc, but DS2 has not spoken to her or seen her since.

I am sure that even if he does not recognise her face as such, and remembers exactly, on some level he feels an enormous familiarity with her, and he is so comfortable with her. He is hugging and kissing in a way I have never seen he do with "strangers" not even our more recent au pairs!

Has any of you had similar experiences?
