TFFT. Finally, having been on "hold" since December, I had my inspection today. I got a good which I'm very happy about as the inspector is notorious (sp) for being a stickler and very very thorough!

Well done! Did you have prior warning? That's great news, you must be so relieved

MaureenMLove · 05/02/2008 13:41

Excellent, well done! You can stop filing in forms for another couple of years now and take all the posters off the walls!

smeeinit · 05/02/2008 13:41

well done!
you can relax for 3 years now!

hennipenni · 05/02/2008 13:46

Thankyou everyone

crace, I had my "short notice" notice the week before the schools broke up but I was too busy with parties for them to come, they got back in touch yesterday about doing the inspection this week.

Mo, I will indeed empty my walls! she did ask me why I don't have seperate towels for all the mindees as they all use the same one and I stick it in the wash at the end of the day, I said you've seen the size of my bathroom (tiny), tell me where I can put 5 extra towels per day- she couldn't answer that one!

dmo why all inspections before end of march? mines not due till novemeber....am i being dimm?!

hennipenni · 05/02/2008 13:56

It's because the inspectors have not been trained yet in prep for inspecting us for EYFS, so they are trying to get as many inspections as they can out the way so that they can concentrate on training for the EYFS.

dmo · 05/02/2008 13:58

no they want all inspections (that were or are due beween now and may) done now before march so they can train for the new EYFS for september

you may be one of the first in november to have the new inspection make sure yoou book yourself on the EYFS courses

Well done Henni. That's fab news

looneytune · 05/02/2008 14:25

Well done Henni!! Bloomin towels, that one comes up ALL the time!!! No way can I fit several towels in my tiny downstairs toilet, I change all my handtowels and tea towels every night, isn't that enough!!! (only 2 use the toilet towel and only 2 use the kitchen hand towel). Maybe we all need to get those paper towel dispenser things!!!

Anyway, well done again

Mum2Luke · 05/02/2008 17:32

There is NO WAY i am buying more towels, I have just no room, even on back of door, do OFTSED inspectors think we are made of money and have huge bathrooms or summat?

I am supposed to have my inspection in June, hope she doesn't come before then.

I asked my cm friends if they got asked and none of the inspectors said anything about towels....hmmm. They wanted EYFS stuff on the wall but my friends hubby refused and told them it is his house, not a nursery. She didn't answer that!!! The only thing she has is registration cert, NVQ Level 3 certificate and insurance certificate.
