Question to those in Singapore

We are moving from Dubai to Singapore next year and would like to bring our nanny with us. She has been with our family for 10 years and she will be 57 next year. I hear that she will not be elligible for a work permit as she is over 50 years of age. Is this correct? Is there a way around this considering our long relationship? Thanks

I’ve asked him and he says he hasn’t heard of this rule and his neighbours have a “ helper” in her 60’s. But it may be a rule for new families moving into Singapore now possibly. Singapore has lots of rules!

Eligibility: From 23 to below 50 years old during the Work Permit application.
Helpers aged 50 and above can only renew their Work Permits until they are 60 years old.
