I find Baker Ross quite good, helped by the 10% off I get through running a Brownie pack! Baker Ross do sugar paper in A4 and A3, and 'class packs' of quite a lot of things meaning you might feel like it's spending a lot to start wiht but it will last ages.

I've also bought wallpaper lining paper and cut that up - really cheap and can use small or big pieces depending on the activity!

Our PTA at local school joined a scrapstore which they can get loads of stuff from, but it's a case of just taking advantage of what's there, you can't think 'I'll get some x, y and z' cos they just have whatever has been scrapped from businesses etc!

Hello, I've brought bags of stuff from The Works. They have foam things, stickers, pipe cleaners, crafty bags etc for 1-2 pounds (sorry DH installed USA Keyboard)

nannynick · 27/01/2008 17:46

Artifolk have paintpots at 99p each, but you will need to add postage (£2.99 for orders under £20). Local poundstore type places also have paintpots on occasion.

MaureenMLove · 27/01/2008 18:04

I use Baker Ross, but that's largely because I use it for Rainbows too, so I buy for both at the same time.

This from wilkinsonplus may possibly be sugar paper. Alas the description is very vague, but at just over 1p a sheet A4, it's worth a try.

ROSEgarden · 29/01/2008 09:37

HI nick, yeah ive ordered some of that.although might just be similar to what ive got ie: normal coloured flimsy paper?..but, i do ALWAYS need paper so it wont go to waste..thanks for looking for me

ROSE i used to work in an ART shop and we sold rolls of coloured sugar paper, very good value but very heavy to post - we also did large packs mixed colour of A2 sheets - have you got a local independant art shop? they'd prob. offer you a discount as a childminder if you asked nicely and fluttered your eye-lashes - we used to for pre-schools and brownies etc

ROSEgarden · 29/01/2008 15:52

hmm, i dont know, will check that out thankyou
