After school club issues Aktiva

Hi mums I need advice as I feel the penalty we have being given is over the too

my child goes to Aktiva and he had bad day - he was throwing toys and did not listen. I was in the office and received a call saying that I need to pick up my child. I said the earliest I can be is 40min. Within the same day my son was permanently excluded from the club. I was told that I did receive previous warnings that he sometimes does not listen. He is 7 years old I do talk to him but sometimes he is tired and just needs a space. The trouble is I’m penalised for something that I had no control over as I’m paying Aktiva for childcare service. I now may lose my job as have no childcare and cannot change school as all local schools around me use Aktiva and he is barred. I do find this reaction extreme. I have talked to school and breakfast club and all I get is positive feedback about my son. Please help!! I lm ready to go to press I have requested subject access request from Aktiva. I have tried to call Aktiva to discuss and they ignoring me saying that no one is available to pick up my call. My 7 years old is distressed and said that he will lull himself as he is sad that he is barred for what it was just simply a bad day

Goodness, this seems harsh! Have you had any feedback from the school teachers about how he copes in lessons and the playground? Are the similar patterns of how he expresses himself when he's tired or upset? That's very young to be excluded from a club.

Yes and there are no issues with my child behaviour at school I don’t know what to do

To be honest, if my child were excluded I would be hesitant to put them back in the club... it seems that either the leaders are not able to manage or the child is unhappy. I would try to find a local childminder to help with pick ups, au pairs, anything. Often they are less expensive and offer smaller more flexible fun for kids than larger after school clubs that want kids to colour sat at a table for ages. Boring.

How many times before had they spoken to you?
