Sliding down the other side, and heading for a girly weekend

I have DGD here Friday night to go shopping on Saturday morning (she still has some Clarie's vouchers burning a hole in her pocket from Christmas, and I need to get her some clothes that actually fit her, will somebody tell me when she will stop growing!!!!

Then best Friend is coming for the night on Saturday night, I might even finish the baileys

update on ds here

I had a mindee that did that too mml but his eating habits were just the tip of a very large iceberg (which included serious lack of hygiene, thick green daily snot, late payment etc). He actually came up to me in the school foyer yesterday and loudly announced 'did you know I have diarrhoea (sp?) today Kay?'. EEEEEWW!
DP was so relieved when his mum didn't need me to mind him anymore. Just try not to look directly into his mopth whilst you ar also eating!!

southernbelle77 · 24/01/2008 17:55

Thanks Mo! Other thing I need to consider is if I do take it, it would mean losing another mindee that I have. I only have said mindee one day a week and his mum is at home and has said if other works comes up then she will understand but I think she is looking for a job and wants me to have him then if and when she gets one - but she has supposedly been looking for one for ages so who knows if that will ever come off! I don't want to lose him as he is adorable and a joy to mind but on the other hand I have to think about this as my business as well! ARRRGGHHHHHHHHHH what to do!! (I wouldn't normally be worrying about this til I heard more from the parents btw but they did very much sound like they would like me to have their child!)

MaureenMLove · 24/01/2008 17:58

Is a variation on your numbers feesible? Might be worth it.

southernbelle77 · 24/01/2008 18:02

I have thought about it but wasn't sure if Ofsted would do that when I don't know specific days etc - although on some weeks I wouldn't be over I suppose! Could phone and ask their advice!
If I do get / take it then I will definitely have to get a new double pushchair though how exciting!!

KaySamuels · 24/01/2008 18:09

Glad your meeting went well SB77.

When paents contact you ask them for more details about the shift patterns, does your current mindee come on the same one day each week? Worth figuring it out to see if a variation is viable. If he is a nice little mindee can't blame you for wanting to hang onto him
p.s get a marco sky

southernbelle77 · 24/01/2008 18:13

It's a marco sky I want Kay!! But can't justify getting one atm but with a new mindee, well that's another matter!!
Current mindee does come on same day each week at the moment!
I have a copy of the shift pattern but it's very confusing and think I need to sit down and work it out a bit better when I have 5 minutes to myself!

KaySamuels · 24/01/2008 18:16

I really really want one too and TBH I blame shosha! \Will be very if you get one!

MaureenMLove · 24/01/2008 18:35

Always worth having a variation in place. Definately if this nice little chap is only one day a week. That's 4 other days that you could fill.

MaureenMLove · 24/01/2008 18:37

Oh, DD and her school is on BBC local news within the next half hour, something about the Head getting arsey about league tables being pants!

MaureenMLove · 24/01/2008 18:38

Ah, just thought, unless you get BBC London, you won't see it, will you!

shoshe · 24/01/2008 20:13

KaySamuels · 24/01/2008 20:41

shoshe

sleep well rosegarden hope your dd and you feel more rested in the morning.

maximummummy · 24/01/2008 21:08

o my god kaysamuels just seen your profile your poor poor ds - give give arnica tablets they really seem to work for swelling and bruising and also they are good for shock - i'm horrified at the way the nursery dealt with the incident sounds very unprofessional to me

rose - all my sympathy to your dd - earache is sooo horrible and painfull - i hope the anti-biotics clear it up quickly - i use paracetomol and ibuprofen alternating when ds has ear infection - last time he had one i was in tears over how much he was suffering [not in front of him of course]

southernbelle77 · 24/01/2008 23:35

Shoshe you can not do that. That is just plain greedy!! Unless of course that you are going to look at it to see if it is suitable for me

shoshe · 25/01/2008 06:49

No I'm going to clip it to the other one and make a 4 seater
