Can you believe its hump day again already? Right, no-one is to discuss CJ today. I'm still exhausted and flabberghasted from yesterday! Looneys on the case checking out guidelines from Ofsted and let that be an end to it!

evening everyone - if you're still about. I've had tough day, made me wonder what i'm doing. had good caht with friend and anothe cm friend has invited me to new toddler group tom so think will be ok. have 10mth and 16mth old mindees and my own dd 3.5. have known 16mth old for an age but she is a bit jealous of newbie 10mth old. lots of crying from both parties today - so much so we spent all the time dd at school this pm walking round the park! did see cute squirrel though! just keep wondering what i'm doing worng! can't be in two palces at once! they both seem to wnat to be first! dd is being very good - a few trying times but shes so good usually anyway. i knwo they will get better as they get used to me and the routines we do. 16mth old is only part time and think she gets used to being at home again then comes to me again and can't seem to switch. i know she gets away with alot at home!

sorry for long rant in the staffroom, just needed to get it out and maybe find a hug.....................

EM, found something under the table for you {{{{{{{{{{ HUG}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Hope that feels better

MaureenMLove · 23/01/2008 21:08

Aw EM! Here's another That's exactly what the staff room is for. Its a nightmare when they both want you isn't it? But you're in the right frame of mind, you know its going to get better. You know its just a case of getting to know the routine with you. Don't fret about it, we all hate change, but we get used to it and children are remarkable good at fitting in. Good luck, you know where we all are, if you need some new ideas!

hennipenni · 23/01/2008 21:52

Hope your DS feels better soon Kay, thats terrible, can't beleive that they didn't do any paper work. Are they ok in other respects?

Your DS is rather lovely and handsome.

  • i've posted my thoughts on that thread!

EM - {{{hugs}}} I reckon that will be me week after next. I stupidly have 2 new starters, one of them (baby) I had for settling in session today and she's not used to being without mum so needs a lot of reassurance, bless her but not only 2 new starters but the baby I've had since 8 weeks whose now coming full time - she cried a lot too if you don't give her 100% focus as she's used to the one to one care (double pay baby). So can I have a hug back at the end of that day? And I agree, you sound like you have the right attitude, it won't be like this for long!

KaySamuels · 23/01/2008 22:47

Oh EM we all have these days,I often go out for the morning/afternoon to pass the day quicker. They will soon settle in and get used to it, and so will you.
LT - you sound really busy don't work too hard!

thanks hennipenni - school ok usually, nice small one where every teacher already knows ds' name. Will see what they tomorrow.

Hi dmo, we don't have OFSTED at our Netowrk Childminder groups, only the Childminder Co-ordinators and they said start planning for September (I should have put that but never mind), if by a small miracle I get this job, I need to get knowledgable about the Foundation stage as its one of the requirements of the post, I will also revise my Birth To 3 matters.

Oh well, gotta sort this activity so am off for tonight.

Bye all

Helen
