How old are your children and how long do you require childcare for?

Babysitter (usually means evening, but could be used for weekend daytime, weekend overnight)
Ad-hoc weekend nanny

Don't get hung up about a job title... there often isn't one specific enough.

If it's evening care... then babysitter is generic enough. If it's daytime care then nanny. Could always ask for a babysitter/nanny!

If you are thinking about how to word an advert, then use babysitter/nanny and clearly define the hours of work, and state that it is occasional, rather than permanent work.

If you want your children to go to someone else's home, rather than the carer coming to your home... then you need a Registered Childminder.

Try 'ocassional weekend sitter'

Where are you based? Im a nanny and do weekend sitting in London as I know some of the others on here do too..if you post a vague location you may find someone here.

Regards
Jenna
