but wondered how everyone was getting on. We've hired the local girl who seems really nice and got great references (fingers crossed all goes well - we've been here before). Coming on Fri to settle in with me and get the low down from current nanny, who is v v sad to go as are we .

Wanna hear how it's going for people...hopefully well.

Hi, we are in our 2nd week of having a nanny (first-timers). I managed to leave work early on Monday so I could 'see her in action' and not just in interview mode (DH works from home though so has spent a few days showing her the ropes etc). Anyway, she seems great - after saying hello to me, my DD (2.5) carried on playing happily with her... so all good so far!

My hunt is going okay I guess. I think I found a nice Polish girl. But, I'm just really running out of patiencce. This nanny hunt is consuming way too much of my time. Last night DH pointed out I'd only been doing it for two weeks. It seems soooo much longer.

Anyway, I'm sending her the contract and a few more job details today. If all goes well, I might have ananny by the end of the weekend... fingers crossed!

harriet/flu really intersting to see how you're going -how long did it take you to find the new nanny(ies)?

It actually took me a little over a week...but let's see how long this one stays...seems very nice though.

We are looking for live out, part time.
