My 9mo PFB starts settling in with CM next week then in two weeks will be doing 3 full days as I'm back at work.
Feel really nervous about how it will go as she has hardly been left with anyone before.
Would you think it nice or anal if a parent provided written notes on their usual schedule etc?
Any dos or don'ts?

That sounds good, a schedule should be very helpful to any carer. I also provide a book where I write down all the details of the baby/childs day, ate/drank/nappies/naps so that the parents know at a glance what they've been up to. I am sure the c/m has already mentioned doing this, but if not, ask for one!

Try not to worry, easier said than done, I know.

I think most CMs do a daily diary. I do one each for all my mindees. I write down what they've eaten/drunk plus how much at what time and if they've had a dirty nappy. I don't normally write down what we've done. I tell the parents at hometime.

I don't think it's anal at all. I would also like a daily diary if my DS was at a nursery or CM.

It's good to look at if they're coming down with something. If your CM writes down if they've been coughing a lot or unusually quiet etc.. then you can tell how long they've been feeling unwell.

Thanks crace and fruitloop.
Another thing I worry about is that I have to provide packed lunch and am really not sure what to put in. What sort of stuff do people usually do?

just provide what you would at home, depending on the hours they are with the c/m. I assume they will be providing snack? Feel free to provide whatever YOU feel comfortable with on age and development.
