Thanks it's a bit of a vague question isn't it!!
All I can think of is 'heads shoulders knees and toes song and actions, healthy eating for energy and growth, and a picture book I have 'artie beats body book'

I made a game up for my Rainbows, admittedly bit older, by still under 8.

I drew a big basic fridge (without door on) on a poece of paper and coloured one shelf green, one orange and one red. Then we cut out pictures from supermarket flyers (you know the ones you get through the post) and stuck each food on whichever shelf they thought it belonged on, then discussed. I think its easy enough to do with children from about 3 tbh. Its an art and craft session as well!

I bought a game from Hawkins Bazaar called "Gassy Gus" and you basically pump up his somach by doing the number of pumps on a card (eg beans are 7 pumps where as melon is none) and the loser is the one who makes him fart - very funny for all ages.

I also made a game up with eyes, nose, mouth etc cut out and laminated and did a big round face and they have to put the bits as a game. This is done by turning over a card that has the word on it. They then have to choose what is on the card (so you say where is the mouth and where does it go etc) and the first one with a complete face wins. I also did a body version as well.

I have done the NVQ and know how vague the questions can be. Just wait until you do an NVQ4 or the Eaarly Years degree - gets alot more vague lol.

Asking if they feel hungry, helping them discover when they feel full.

Also toilet training is awareness of body and health needs.

Eat a Rainbow - wall display or a page each for children to take home. Use clipart or childrens own drawings of fruit & veg and have them glue on page in the different groups.

Draw a tooth shape on white paper and another on black for each child. Use magazine pictures or clipart of various foods and have the children decide whether each should be glued onto the black tooth (junk food) or the white tooth (healthy tooth).

Have a bowl of soapy water & the children's towels/paper towels handy. Have the children sit in a circle and you then pretend to sneeze. Put some green paint in your hand and pick up a toy or two, handle it all over, then shake hands with each child. Thats why we put our hands over our mouths when we sneeze!

i have a good one, my mindees love!

buy a cheap roll of wallpaper(or pinch loads of strips from diy store, pretend you're taking sample), lay one mindee dwn on sheet as long as them and draw round them..cut it out to their body shape and add names for all their body aprts in correct area's and let them draw these parts on(try and refrain from boobs and willies), we had ankles, kness, elbows, heart, lungs, ribs, intestines, eyes, ears..all the aprts you can think off, its good getting them to thinnk og them too!

then we stick them up on our wall with their names so we can see who our mindees are..theyre fab..even if i do say so myself
