Hoping someone may be able to advise. We currently receive the 30 hours free childcare but my employment is due to end next week. The job is ending as we have had to re locate for dp's job and I have been WFH for my final few weeks.
Do I need to let our provider know that my job in ending or do we just wait until we reconfirm our details which we are due to do next month?
I am looking for another job and would only need the childcare for the next half term up to Summer and I believe that there is a period of grace. Thanks

The grace period is 3 months after your job has ended.

thank you, that is good to know. Should I let the school and gov childcare know now or just wait until I am asked to reconfirm our details?

Just wait until its time to reconfirm.

When you received your code you will have been given a grace period end date.
It's usually 31st March, 31st August or 31st December depending on when your code was issued.
You can continue to have 30 hours with the same provider up to that date.
Once the end date of the code has passed you wont be able to begin receiving 30 with another provider should you wish to move your child.

I have called the childcare service today about a similar matter and they told me the grace period is the time after your due to reconfirm your eligibility but miss the deadline- so have 3 months to do it by afterwards. For example, my reconfirmation is due by 16th September . If I miss this date I’ll get 3 months after to reconfirm without loosing the 30hrs. Is this correct?
