Rather wet (just had a shower!) and no doubt windy when we step outside! Lovely isn't it!
Need to pop out later with 2 mindees and dd so that will be fun in the wind and rain!

KatyMac · 09/01/2008 08:18

Frustrated before school person wet themselves - so clothes in dryer (hope they don't smell) - never happened before

4 children & 1 staff off sick - so not doing well

MamaG · 09/01/2008 08:52

Fine! Cold, but fine. Did you see my "ooh young maaan" thread shosh?

crace · 09/01/2008 09:05

It's rather nice here

Crabby children day, all caught colds, including me so it's avoiding toddler group today. I am not mad after all, it would be insane.

southernbelle77 · 09/01/2008 09:14

Mindee 1 not coming now as still not well. Means don't need to go out as was going to bank but as mindee not here, not been paid yet (which isn't good as really need the money this week).
Think I might do butterfly paintings with the other 2 if can get my act together!

shoshe · 09/01/2008 09:16

Does any one want three miserable under 2's??? Going free?????

I think they have all got the 'I have been off for two weeks and been throughly spolit for attention from extended family itis'

So if i dont carry them or God forbid walk out of the room to go to the loo, WWWWWWWWWWWAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

your not having a good week Katy! hope your feeling bit better health wise

morning all very windy here blew my hat off a few times on the school run

ds1 in bed with tummy cramps hope its not the start of the dreaded bug

MaureenMLove · 09/01/2008 09:39

Weather is ok here too Crace, but then I guess we're only about an hour from each other!

I've just worked it out and I am completely alone in my house for the first time since 13th December! I'm having pain au chocolates for brekkie and I don't have to share, justify or think about anyone else. I am also watching grown up telly!

Off to do more cleaning as soon as soon as I've finished. Have a nice day all.

southernbelle77 · 09/01/2008 09:44

Weather is much nicer here now so going to take mindee1 and dd to bank and pay in money from them! Something is better than nothing!

SugarSpiceandAllThingsNice · 09/01/2008 10:15

Morning all.

Katy - not having a good time of late are you Hope you're feeling a bit better. Did you decide what to do about your hair?

Shosh - you can keep your spoilt brats slightly over indulged mindees thanks. I've got ds here - enough said!!!

Actually, having said that, we've had a chat this morning (all nice and calm ) and he's sorry and is going to try better so we can be a happy house again - fingers crossed. Thanks for letting me have my paddy fit last night, felt much better after

Well I was planning on starting at a new group today (couldn't do before because it starts at 10.30 and I always had to dash off around 11am to get ds from nursery) but sisters were dropped off very tired, especially baby who I had to put straight down for a nap. Apparently they got up at 5am this morning which is unlike them. So, this morning I have done the usual combing toddler mindees hair (she arrives having not had her hair combed and it's curly and just looks like it's been back-combed or she's had an electric shock and I can't take her out like that! Even though they'd been up 4 hours before coming to me this morning, STILL no combed hair. Anyway, all pretty again now and just waiting to see when her little sis wakes up.

Oh.....Ofsted phoned me at 8.20am!! For those who followed my thread yesterday - I WAS right, the other person was wrong HOWEVER 'the telephone staff do have a lot of areas to cover and aren't expert in any set area' - I'm like 'errr, yes, but don't INSIST you're right about something you don't understand then!! ' (didn't say that though). So new certificate should be with me by the end of the week hopefully.

Sunny at the mo but how long will that last I wonder .

dmo - hope ds doesn't have a bug coming

Mo - enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!

southernbelle77 - hope you manage to avoid the rain

Crace & MamaG - hello

dmo · 09/01/2008 10:22

you must be bored mo to work out when you last had the house to yourself

have you made up yet suger?

SugarSpiceandAllThingsNice · 09/01/2008 10:23

When you say have we made up, you mean ds or the other thing that happened recently?

dmo · 09/01/2008 10:24

the other

SugarSpiceandAllThingsNice · 09/01/2008 10:30

No chance The thread was too much, will take a long time. I'm just staying away now and trying to not think about it. I'd done very well keeping it together and not letting it stress me out as not worth it (thinking about baby here, had enough things with this pregnancy as it is!). Then last night, in bed, I burst into tears about how ds has been and then all the stuff with my parents came out too and couldn't stop I'm ok now, just held it in all that time so it all needed to come out I suppose. It's made me feel even more tired this morning and I can't believe I've got EYFS training til 9.30pm tonight boo hoo

dmo · 09/01/2008 10:38

i had that training just before christmas its so much better than the birth to 3

SugarSpiceandAllThingsNice · 09/01/2008 10:43

Good, I never went to birth to 3 as our training team never managed to sort courses out before the changes were announced then I was told not to bother. I just hope I can stay awake, I'm not much good after 9pm since being pregnant and that's without started the day off wanting to go back to bed lol. I've got loads of courses coming up so will be glad to get them all out of the way before maternity leave.

ROSEgarden · 09/01/2008 11:04

right all, no time...new mindee(last week) here today, got travel cot for her this week(last week she slept on dd's bed no bother)..shes been in cot ages not and is swinging between crying and quiet, but rally sobs when she crys, do i persist?..if she doesnt drop off soon it will mess her whoel day up as she has two naps?..and am ondering if shes had bad experience of travel cots in awful nursery she was in, or just not tired??? help...be back when i can.x

saff · 09/01/2008 12:03

is it just my mindee babys cos they are just not settling down for naps this week and are all telling me they have been carried about all xmas been nightmare so far this week hope is calms down soon got v tired pissed off baby screaming upstairs

southernbelle77 · 09/01/2008 12:09

Mindee 1 here now! Got a call earlier saying he is feeling better so could they bring him at lunchtime!
Managed to get into town earlier without getting wet though which is good and will dash back in after preschool run to pay in the cheque and then come back and see if both mindees will have a sleep!
Parents forget mindee 1's comfort toy so can see that not happening but I'm sure will be ok if we just have cuddles! Not going to get much done this afternoon me thinks!
Both mindees have settled back in really well (fingers crossed it continues!) so I'm lucky in that sense! Hope everyone elses who aren't settling so well calm down soon and settle back in.

mumlove · 09/01/2008 12:59

Afternoon everyone.
Shosh - are you sending me your rain because it's getting dark!
Well I managed to walk the mindees to school this morning and then went to a play time set up by the ncma, we did lots of lovely messy things.

ROSEgarden · 09/01/2008 13:13

well tht was a disaster..45 minutes of crying stopping crying stopping..and that was just me...got mindee out of cot 11.30 for lunch, she giggled and gurled and ate it all, then we got ready for school run and no sooner was she in the buggy she went flat out!!!!!
mum just rang to say that her dd isnt settling in cot at moment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...beter late than never eh!

i think shes ready to drop one of her naps..maybe?..will put her down later tomorrow and see if any better, if not i will resort back to dd's bed with bed guard on...just didnt want to do this as i think dd ahs to share enough

MaureenMLove · 09/01/2008 13:19

Hello everyone, hows yur day panning out? Finished as much of the big clean out as I can. I've run out of room in my bins and my boot is full of charity shop stuff!

I've been to Kbears to nick all her CD's to find some classic early 90's stuff for my party, so I've got to shift it all onto the pc stick so that we can just stick it in the USB port on the stereo and it'll play away all night. We're going to serve canapes for the party and DD and her mate are going to serve us all! Starting to come together now. Tomorrow is washing paintwork day!

ROSEgarden · 09/01/2008 13:21
