got dd(4), mindee1 (4) mindee 2 (2) and very new first day mindee 3 (almost 1yr) today...mindee 3 likes to sleep in bed and has two naps a day, at minute she is using dd's bed with bedguard until travel cot arrives, mum is fine with this.not my dd is almost 5, so very good, mindees 1 and 2 are both mischevious little boys, who have already broken dd's brand new princess tent this morning...how do i make sure they are safe/alive/my house is still there while im settling new mindee?..as it happens ive got mindee 2 here now while mindee 3 is settling, with dd and mindee one in playroom downstairs playing nicely but mindee 2 can be quiet while we're up here, quite normal really, understanably, so im not getting very far..heeellllpppp

have felt like this with house full of children
can the boys go outside to play for a while?
would you like to come out and play?

Have also been a childminder, but was luck had children old enough to go out and play if things got a bit fraught. Could see them from kitchen window! that was enough at times! Its very difficult to be everywhere at once.Could you get dd on board as mummies little helper??

LoveMyGirls · 02/01/2008 11:34

Any mindees i've had that nap have all gone straight down, literally 1 min to get them settled in the cot and i'm back downstairs if I was worried about the 2 boys i'd take one of them up with me so I would know they weren't arguing/ fighting/ breaking stuff.

colditz · 02/01/2008 11:35

I'd be very upset if my 2 year old was playing outside unsupervised. sounds like you need to hide the breakables and maybe put the 2 year old in a pushchair for a minute.

baconeggnchips · 02/01/2008 11:39

put baby in travel cot in warm clothes
put all children in warm clothes
all go outside of 5 minutes keep those little darlings super duper vised
burn off some energy

hi colditz children wont be outside thats why im trying to come up with 'safe' solution, but it 'seems' new mindee migt just bea little angel as shes fast as leep in under 2 mins, no tossing and turning and all mindees and dd not eating lunch, before mindee 2 has his nap(he sleeps -mums request- in laid back pushchair, and usually go's straight off with dummy and cuddly...sorry im just stressing as i want to keep everyone safe/happy
