I have had 2 girls for a year both have english as 2nd lang and had not really socilised with english people so were very scared. Now they are v confident. one is going back to home country for all of Jan and they asked if 2nd little bro can fill placw while 1st not here. Here is prob I have said yes but have had little bro before about 9 months ago on a month trial and all he did was scream, now if he has not changed i dont know if a. its fair on others to have contiual screaming(unless carried) or b. i can handle a month of screaming but where do i stsnd on payment? my policy is if you are not using your space you still have to pay. But away childs space has been filled while away, so would i have to give £ back for that month. If little bro was not coming then away child would be paying for space anyway .

i think that you should just tell parents that you will give lil bro another trial[as long as you think you can stand!] but that if it doesn't work out you will still be charging for 1st child's space as you obviously can't fill it at short notice

I agree with maixmummy, explain they are paying for space, you will have little one as a favour for them in siblings place, but if he doesn't settle nothing you can do.

He may well be better if it was 9 months ago. I had a screaming baby though a while ago and gave notice as it was affecting whole group, me and baby, so I understand your fears. Just have a chat with them before hand. Hope it works out for you.

ill prob get flamed here, but they may like you to think they do not understand you to make it to their advantage!..ive had it done to me before, let them know you will do this as a one off on a trial given their ds was unsettled last time but if he doesnt settle again this time, you CANNOT/WILL NOT help but full pay will be required as its their DD's palce!
