How to discuss pay with babysitter

This may seem a bit odd but I find discussing money a bit awkward and I don't want to offend our babysitter Blush a girl from the nursery my DS attends is going to be doing some babysitting for us. We haven't discussed pay yet...It's not the amount that's the issue, I've done my research and I'm fully expecting to pay more due to the fact she is qualified etc, and that's totally fine.

Do I just ask her how much she expects to be paid? Or how much she charges per hour? Im wondering if that might make her feel awkward?

I'm possibly overthinking this!

Hi chick, hope you had a nice day off/ good weekend/ random please try - just wondering what your hourly rate is for Saturday night?

I expect she’ll have an hourly rate in mine so just ask her what it is and whether she would like cash or bank transfer

Honestly, I expect she'll be glad to be asked directly (how much and how she would like to get paid) so she can tell you clearly and not risk any confusion or misunderstanding.

Just ask her what her hourly rate is?
