Anyone working today?

I'm waiting to hear if I am working this evening, or not. Expect I will get a text message at some point today.

Hello NN and LMG's, HP wonders in, downloading a few posters (until ink runs out in printer), snatches a few chocolates and grumbles about doing unpaid work during her holidays.

LoveMyGirls · 27/12/2007 16:11

No reply yet but fingers still crossed!

Hi all. What a dull, boring day! I've just kinda wandered from thing to thing, never really getting anywhere!

DD has had her friend here all day and she's very loud! She so needs a volume control! DD has bought herself a new phone today. She was saving for a laptop, but we bought her one for Christmas, so she got a phone in the Argos half price sale, down from £150 to only £64! Not bad I thought!

Kay, I've looked at your website and signed your guest book! How are you? It was you with the drink wasn't it?

MrsWeasleysmagicmincepies · 27/12/2007 17:09

Hi
When I started minding there was a rule that said if you minded for more than 2 hours a day you needed to be registered! Is this still true?

Someone I know is looking after children for 2 hours and isnt registered and it just got me thinking I couldnt find it writen down anywhere.

So thought I'd ask you

nannynick · 27/12/2007 17:15

From HMI2601a - Framework for the regulation of childminding and day care

  1. A childminder is defined as a person who looks after one or more children under the age of 8 for a total of more than two hours a day on domestic premises for reward.8 A person is not acting as a childminder if that person: ? is the parent or a relative of the child ? has parental responsibility for the child ? is a local authority foster parent in relation to the child ? is a foster parent with whom the child has been placed by a voluntary organisation ? fosters the child privately ? only looks after the child between the hours of 6pm and 2am ? looks after children for two sets of parents wholly or mainly in the home of either or both sets of parents.9

8 ?Domestic premises? means any premises which are wholly or mainly used as a private dwelling.
9 This is normally where two families share a nanny

Hiya thanks for that mml - yes it was me with the drink, feel fine physically now but it has really wierded me out! Feel really vulnerable and it has totally put me off drinking which anyone who knew me would say was shocking!

Nannynick is as wise as ever - he always has the answers MrsWeasley!

KaySamuels · 27/12/2007 17:46

Kay rummages for purple quality streets - none here either! Gutted! Mine all vanished into thin air can't think who ate them!

MrsWeasleysmagicmincepies · 27/12/2007 19:01

Thanks Nick I knew you would the info at your fingertips.

So if friends looks after 7yo twins for less than 1.5 hours she doesnt need to register.

She asked me but could I find it in my paperwork! not with all the xmas crafts everywhere

ToomanynewyearsROSElutions · 27/12/2007 20:20

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 27/12/2007 20:37

Kay had her drink spiked on Saturday night Rose, there's a thread somewhere, but I didn't have time to post, just look! It was on Christmas Day I believe.

ToomanynewyearsROSElutions · 27/12/2007 20:38

Oh no was she ok? was she with friends, nothing nasty ahppend did it???

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 27/12/2007 20:43

Quiet day really. Mother came for lunch, so there was just the 4 of us. DD is too old for the fun, magic of Father Christmas, so it was a bit dull tbh! Poor old Kbear had a sh*t christmas day. Her dh, was in his bed most of it, too ill to move and her dd still has the most horrid cough. We hope to get together with them tomorrow night to do kids pressies.

Still next year will be good. They will be coming to us for Christmas Day, so it'll be wonderfully relaxed, no pressure and probably drunk by about 11am!

DH present sorted. I got him a Tom Tom in the Argos sale today. Not even sure what day it is yet! Its 2nd Jan, so thats either Tues or Weds! It's all a bit of a blur at this time of year!

ToomanynewyearsROSElutions · 27/12/2007 20:45

Wednesday Chick..guess he's asked for it has he? so hes going to love it

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 27/12/2007 20:45

She was out with her dp and friends and her and another girl were drinking at exactly the same pace, but someone found Kay outside the pub, not in a good way. The other girl was perfectly fine, so it was defo spiked drink. Thankfully, no one touched her, but she had a long Saturday night in hospital.

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 27/12/2007 20:47

He'll love it! He's anal about directions! He drives alot for his work and needs a new A-Z every year, because its in pieces.

ToomanynewyearsROSElutions · 27/12/2007 20:47

Dear god glad she is ok!..she wants to let the club'pub know so the can keep their eyes peeled!
