We haven't made too much as both my mindees are only 1 so are not too interested in doing too much we we did...

  • Christmas crackers made out of loo roll (microwaved of course ) and tissue paper and stickers.

  • Christmas stockings made out of felt and cotton wool and stickers

  • Glittery handprints

  • Hand and feet reindeers

  • Santa shaped gingerbread men which they then iced.

  • Calender with photo of them on

  • collage of pics I have taken of them (individually) throughout the year

  • Christmas cards with their faces on

Think that's it!

Not arty, but tomorrow we're making shortbread Xmas trees and decorating them with icing for the kids to take home and leave one out for Santa Xmas eve.

But mine are under 1, 18mos and just 2 so it's hard to get them to do a lot

What are the hand feet reindeers?

Oh, we are making hand wreaths tomorrow - which are just cut out hands shaped to make a wreath, then will let them loose with glitter. Gulp

I got some hanging tree decs from the pound shop, pack of 4 porcelain ones with paint and brush. Look lovely on tree! Also pic of snowman with cotton wool... plenty of that around from newborn!

nannyL · 20/12/2007 20:27

am i really bad?

All I Have managed...

Xmas cards
Paper chains for play room
Xmas star biscuits
put glitter glue all over and Xmas tree shape piece of card

MightyMoosh · 20/12/2007 20:31

The crafts I mentioned are all I have done this year! boys are always at nursery, gymboree etc so Ive only had one afternoon in this month! Is shared care, so I often have baby, so dont think too badly of me...

BoysAreLikeReindeer · 20/12/2007 20:32

I have done

-hand paint angels, snowflakes, baby footprint and decorated candle holders from air-dry clay, shortbread biscuits, Xmas tree paintings galore, Xmas crowns decorated with feathers and sequins, ceramic Xmas tree decorations painted and fired at local potters (that was effing messy) and ummm gone blank.

Loads but just cannot recall any more

heh heh

Not back to work until 7th Jan yay

MightyMoosh · 20/12/2007 21:49

Something I've done before if anyone is looking for ideas- sequin waste used to sew/thread wool into, then used to make a card using a card blank for embroidery.
