My latest part time after school nanny gave notice on Monday evening (by phone, an hour after leaving!)saying she was leaving at the end of term. We have only had her for one term after having to let the previous one go.Shes been reasonably good, cue despair! Tuesday morning went on to Gumtree, answered an ad posted the night before (first time ever, in the past Ive advertised in newsagents windows and dealt with several unpromising phone calls) and we now have a brand new student who is very happy with nine hours a week from january.
So this is in praise of Gumtree (so easy) and a reminder to those of you currently in despair - SOMETHING WILL WORK OUT, IT ALWAYS DOES!

Lucky You! I've tried all sorts and had three prospective interviewees blow out the meeting. How did you word the advert?

Good luck Jura! I almost feel like fate stepped in and got me out of a sticky situation before it was too late -

Thanks to Gumtree I seem to have a lovely job starting in Jan with some very well brought up boys, lovely written guidelines and... a CONTRACT! Wahey!

Plus Mumsnet has helped me out too so I hope one of the interviewees tomorrow is suitable
