Mo - what was it saying, that people shouldn't put pics of their kids etc on there or was it something bad?

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 11/12/2007 14:04

I didn't open it tbh, but the title was something like 'How would you feel if your lo's pictures were on Facebook' or 'What would you do if you saw your lo's photos on Fb'

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 11/12/2007 14:06

Can you do a link? As you know, I have permission for all mine so they can't be upset - just curious to know what it says now

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 11/12/2007 14:23

Off on school run in 5 mins but quick question......whose got a wooden floor? - thinking of getting one in the lounge as far more hygenic but wasn't sure if put parents off?

dmo · 11/12/2007 14:45

i have wooden floors to the whole downstairs so much better when wheeling prams in and muddy feet

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 11/12/2007 14:46

Here you go!

I've got wooden flooring in the hall and kitchen. Personally, I'd not put it in the lounge, it just doesn't feel warm and snuggly to me. Also, it may be more hygenic, but only because you'll have to clean it more often!

Another thing, babies definately take longer to learn to walk on hard floor than on carpet.

School time.....! Laters!

dmo · 11/12/2007 14:47

plus toys are better on wooden floors such as cars etc
got myself form mats from ELC set of 4 = £10 they are bright colours and the toys look good on them

eleanorsmum · 11/12/2007 15:27

we too have wooden floor in lounge/diner/playroom. got foam mats too makes it softer to sit on! would agree about new walkers but they do get it eventually! also got large cushions too. i do have a pure wool rug by sofas but every stain has come straight out! love my floors to be honest! best of both worlds.

looney i'll have a look and see, thanks!

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 11/12/2007 15:30

Cheers for the link Mo - I've posted

As for wooden floor - going to have difficulty in getting dh to change his mind as he's set on wooden. Reason for doing the lounge is because it's all connected downstairs so it's either yes to wooden or no, can't split it. We'll have a nice big rug in lounge which will be non slip so that will make more cosey. I'm just sick of disgusting unhygenic carpet YUCK!

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 11/12/2007 15:31

EM - thanks, just read your input. That's what I was thinking, best of both worlds as you can wash a rug a lot easier

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 11/12/2007 16:16

I'm such a f'ing idiot!!!! I've just fallen off a chair, should never have been stood on one in the first place. Hope Buba is ok, poor ds said 'no, mummy, you've hurt the baby' Off to make a cuppa and calm down!

shoshaliteupthetree · 11/12/2007 16:51

lt are you okay??? WHAT ON EARTH WERE YOU DOING STOOD ON A CHAIR!!!!!!!!!

Do I have to come over and read the riot act to you young lady!

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 11/12/2007 16:58

I'll be ok after a cuppa and a sneaky mars bar - kettle just boiled. I have a little wall area for the kids glittery Christmas pictures/cut outs etc. and I was taping tinsel round the edges of the area to make it look nicer. Poor ds was a little upset but I said '....and THAT'S why we don't stand on chairs!' LMG's recommended I phoned midwife and I'm glad I did. Midwife agrees the twinges are probably because I've twisted myself but I can go to local hospital (not main one) on Friday between 9-1 and she'll check baby is ok to reassure me. Obviously if I get worried due to pain/bleeding then I can go down to EPU.

What an idiot!!!

shoshaliteupthetree · 11/12/2007 17:10

As long as you are ok love, anything and get down that hospital.

(I did something similar when Pg with DD, But i was trying to get Chocolate from the top of a cupboard, and yes she was prem, but no falling off the cahir was nothing to do with it, before you get worried, it was the Lupus))

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 11/12/2007 18:56

SweetSnowflake · 11/12/2007 19:56

maximummummy · 11/12/2007 21:21

looney - it was me that was upset over facebook - it wasn't to do with children's photo's - but it was a chain letter thing and it's really upset me and i feel real depressed and have been in tears and feeling sick about it - i shouldn't have read it but i did

god i hope you're ok after the chair incident - i fell flat on my tum when preg with dd she was fine - babies are very well protected in there safe&snug - congrats by the way

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 11/12/2007 21:21

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 11/12/2007 21:23

Thanks Maxi. Oh god, I'm wondering if I've had the chain thing now? Was it via funwall or something? Sorry you are

maximummummy · 11/12/2007 21:26

yeah it was fun wall and really don't read it if someone sends it - what makes it worse in a way is it wasn't even on my wall but a friends - i was just being nosey

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 11/12/2007 21:30

I've just been checking my funwall (haven't for ages) and may have had it but not sure as so many different things. How do i know what your one was about?

mumlove · 11/12/2007 21:38

Looney - you go careful, we tell the children not to climb on chairs.

Well after another long day with mindees and then sorting out DD's school xmas cards and DH birthday cards, I have just had a nice long soak in the bath now ready for an early night (just check on here first) but wessex water have just started to dig up the pavement outside nextdoors house!! I hope it doesn't go on to long.
Have a nice sleep and see you all in the morning .
