Nanny - condensed hours

Considering a move to a slightly more rural location post mat leave next year (Hampshire)

Would need a nanny to help with drop-off and pick up for school (driving required) and day time care of 1 year old.

Ideal hrs would be 7 to 630 Mon /tue / Wed

Previously have used nursery and au pairs but ideally don't want anyone living in now

Is this feasible hours for a rural nanny? How much would you expect to pay?

Thank you!

You can find out average hourly rates where you are on childcare.co.uk and also see who is available in the area and what hours they'd consider. You'll need to sign up to send them a message though, unless they're a premium member themselves.

Yes but will depend on the location. Have a look on sites like Childcare.co.uk to see if there are nannies in the local area (radius 5 miles for example). Sometimes people will travel further for work, especially when it is a full 11-12 hour day, 3 days per week.

Ok great, I was just worried this would be too early a start and its not something a nanny would do

If we found the right person it could be a 10 year job!

In which case would not move house- life is easy at the moment and reluctant to bring in loads more hassle!

I have had jobs with a 7am start but they have been in the next village, so just a few miles down the road.

Seem normal nanny hours to me. I’ve often started at 7am. Prefer 8 tho lol

A nanny if you are that rural may drive 30mins but that shouldn’t be a problem

Tho not sure of your title. 7-630 3 days. Week sounds normal to me
