STILL NO LUCK IN FINDING ANY MINDEE'S

Is it just me thinking(hoping) that this time of year is hard to get mindee's, and it will all pick up in new year, or am i just having no luck?
Had an email from parent other day, was really interested in me, have replied back with all deatils she asked for, but have recieved no reply back, its all really getting to me, i just need to work.
Partner is doing course at mo so money is really tight.

From a parents perspective I have just employed my first childminder for DD 8mo. The most important thing to me was seeing how the childminder interacted with DD and any other mindees eg greeted her as well as me. I'm sure all parents are a sucker for a well directed compliment too as long as it comes across genuine.
I was also impressed by good organisation, place looking clean and them being able to talk confidently about what they would do.
