It's terrible out there isn't it!! Thank god mum of sisters emailed to say au pair will be dropping off after school run God, to have no double buggy and rushing in this yuck is a big relief Just me and ds holding hands - I don't get to do that much in this job so enjoy it when I do

Oh, were all the ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, down to yesterday's thread??? God that annoyed me!!

Right, best shoot!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 05/12/2007 08:53

Morning. What thread? What did I miss?

Done the school run. Mindee and I were just coating up at the front door, ready for the walk in the rain, when I said. 'you know what? Lets go in the car!' We never do that usually. Its only a 6 min walk and its not worth taking the car, but its rotten out there, so we had a little treat! Been back 5 minutes already! No kids til after school, so I'm going to crack on with another order of Christmas cards and then do a bit of shopping later. Got 3 jobs to apply for today too!

eleanorsmum · 05/12/2007 08:55

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 05/12/2007 09:15

LOL - the thread was the punctuation one - sure you both saw it!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 05/12/2007 09:23

Oh that one! Yeah, it was SS. She was very kindly helping someone with her policies and some pedant snuck in, had absolutely no advice for the OP, but just told SS off for misspeling something!

Ellie, if your parents are fine with it, then thats all the protocol you need! Obviously if its something of a personal nature (smear test or something!) then you don't take them, but just use your common knowledge

dmo · 05/12/2007 09:45

OK youngest mindee just threw up over me and had the other end running out of his trousers YUK, so had to send him home.

Turned around to realise my girly mindee had the conjunctivitis, the boys have had starting. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAArgggggggggggggggggggggg.

Mum couldnt get a appointment till Friday!!!!!!!! So sent her off to the chemist, cos the Dr will only give her broline anyway, that is all he gave the boys.

Who gave us this weather!
I am drying out again for the 3rd time already. Hope everyone starts to feel better soon.

SweetSnowflake · 05/12/2007 13:41

HI all, can i not check my spelling on here today, its too much hard work!?

shosh and dmo, sorry you and mindees are having a bad time, hope everyone is feeling better and less contageous soon!

Cheers Mo, my little buddy
Mo, so do you make your chrismtas cards???..i want something special for dd, something different, but maybe you just make/sell in bulk?

well ive had one emergency this morn, and its making me over my ratios my 1 hour(two 30 min slots)..erm...will i get my wrist slapped?
got two mindees asleep now and off to collect 3 plus dd at 3pm(im over the hour with an under 5, who is as good as gold and in buggy so perfectly able to manage), normally have one extra child(over 8) but shes off today so overall figures are right, just not age

well me and two boy mindees been making loo roll and cotton wool snowmen today , then we made some decorative crackers, went to pick girl mindee up from nursery, off to park in pouring rain for picnic(no time to go back hom as boy mindee starts afternoon nursery 1/2 hour alter!), had quick bite in cafe, mindees had their picnic from herethen back off to nursery, mindee was good this time, few tears but not half as much as last week, but he has been 'testing the water' A LOT todayand can turn the tears on and off like a tap..we'll work eachother out

so need to put washing out on radiators, send some pics to parents and then back off on school run for the tribe

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 05/12/2007 13:44

Imkae cards for all occasions! They are a bit like stained glass ones. I paint on assetate with glass paints. Not sure if they travel well, but I am happy to send you one for your DD (as a Xmas gift for you!) I'll see if I can put a couple on my profile to give you an idea of what I do.

SweetSnowflake · 05/12/2007 13:53

Aw Mo they sound lovely and so sweet of you, i really dont mind paying for it though as i know how fab and artistic you are, dd would love that kind of thing, just bought her a new pendant light shade in pink with hanging crytally circles, everytime the sun shines in her room or we have the light on it looks fab!

Mum2Luke · 05/12/2007 14:05

Raining on and off here too. Should have been going out this afternoon to a local radio station 'Jingle Ball' with the neighbours in a limo but couldn't get time off so am well cheesed off!

Have been to Manchester to try and sort my daughter's school travel pass, (I've no kids till after school today)I went on the train, thinking it was quicker, got there to find I'd dropped her passport photo at school! Got back on train and rushed back to school, found photo on ground in wet and drove back to city centre with relevant forms. They now tell me it could take a week - why it takes a week to make up a travel pass I don't know but I pleaded poverty as it would cost me £2.80 per day for her to get to school by bus.

Oh well, things can only get better!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 05/12/2007 14:08

Tis done! They're not the best of pictures, but you get the idea. I've only got a few left ready made, because I like to make them to order, with names on them. I've also got a lovely penguin I do and a stocking with a teddy sticking out the top. No payment necessary.

That goes for any of you btw, as long as you don't want 15 each!

SweetSnowflake · 05/12/2007 14:14

Aw MO, they're gorgeous!
I would love one if you really dont mind?, any really, teddy and stocking, pengiun, santa, rudolph..you choose...do you already have my email address???
